Hey! I am Z and I am a junior this year! This is my second year on the FOCUS staff and I am looking forward to working with everyone to contribute to this year of writing. In school, I love my STEM classes and I am in wind ensemble and pep band. After school, I participate in the D.O.R.K. club and I am part of the PMHS bowling team, along with two other bowling leagues. Towards the end of my freshman year, my English teacher recommended me for the FOCUS and thought it would be an amazing opportunity to develop my writing abilities, along with a creative, productive outlet. That year I completed a semester of digital design and I fell in love with communication beyond words. Last year on the FOCUS, I focused on page layout and cover design, loving seeing my work on prominent display. This year, with my focus on school events, I look forward to getting to know about more opportunities around school and possibly spreading awareness of less popular events to help them gain traction and visibility. One major thing I am excited about is writing more journalistically, possibly covering more serious topics that have a larger impact than simply within the walls of PMHS. On top of that, I look forward to helping FOCUS spread popularity through the school with an increased media front and more frequent web articles. I am extremely excited for this year and seeing where I can help out and fit!
