Everyone knows how social media has impacted their own lives, but few know how positively it has impacted PMHS. The 2024 STUVO members have stepped up their game by using their platform to inform, motivate and invite students to get involved with school in a creative and engaging way.
“Well it is our senior year, so we want to make sure that everyone is involved,” Senior Student Voice secretary Vancer Mang said, “and [make] sure that school doesn’t lose its spirit.”
The PMHS2024 Instagram account is a great way for students to keep up with events that are happening within the school, as well as, connecting the class of 2024 with their STUVO members. The account has constantly been posting about clubs, events, sports and even promoting small businesses around the school. The page provides information that many students would not know otherwise.
“We decided to be more active on Instagram because it provides visuals and it’s a really good way to connect with our student body,” senior STUVO vice president Stella Par said, “not only just for team ‘24 but also our underclassmen.”
The Instagram account is a great contributor in the constant building of the PMHS pride, spirit and community. It has proved to be impactful as students have continued showing out and showing for events.
“It’s very uplifting when we post about events and students actually show up,” senior STUVO president Fam Iang said, “especially now since it’s our senior year we want to make events that are going to be memorable for all the students.”
