Tyler Corbin, Co-managing Editor
Hi! My name is Tyler Corbin and I am one of the current Co-Managing Editors on the FOCUS. Around the school, I have been part of the varsity tennis team for three years. I prefer playing singles compared to doubles because of the individual element but that is probably not going to help on a newspaper staff. I am also a part of the German Nation Honor Society or GNHS as well as the academic team. This summer I also participated in Link Crew where I helped with the incoming freshman’s orientation to help them become comfortable in the school. This is my second year on the FOCUS but my first as a managing editor. I’m excited to see how the newspaper grows with the new staff and under a new advisor. When I first started I was unsure about whether or not the FOCUS was going to be a class I would enjoy, but it has really turned into one of my favorite classes. Not just because of the laid back environment but because of how involved in the school you can get through the class. This year as a managing editor I will be part of the column beat or opinion beat as well as filling in beats that need some extra stories. Columns are a great way to get the opinion of the actual student body into publication rather than just the ideas of adults around the school.
