A new club promoting the opportunity to learn about how the mind works is looking to grow its student outreach.

Founded by seniors Valerie York, Danny Billheimer, Sarah Andreson, Katie Jones, Claire Marlatt, Kaitlyn Greer, Arnima Singh and Makayla Gomperts who enjoyed Carey’s Psychology class, the Psychology Club will spread mental health awareness and have fun with psychology.

Each month’s theme and activities will be organized by a specific student. 

Potential outings include attending the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and performing social experiments around the community. But in general, the club will be what its members make it.

“It’s going to be very malleable,” says York.

The Psychology Club meets in 11B on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
