Same places, new faces
Several new faces walk the halls at Perry Meridian High School. This year, PMHS welcomes nine new staff members, in various positions.
Douglas Hadley attended Center Grove before attending Ball State. Then, he joined the Air Force National Guard. His teaching career began as a French and Social Studies teacher before transferring to Director of Guidance at Daleville. Now he joins Perry as a new guidance counselor.
“I am really looking forward to getting to know the school community,” Hadley says. “I am looking forward to being a part of a large school with successful academic and athletic records.” .
Dana Dillman attended college at UIndy. After college, she worked as a sales representative for a distribution company before returning to UIndy for her teaching license. Now, she joins Perry as a new Business teacher and Perry Promos teacher.
“I am very excited to get back into the classroom and help to build the Work Based Learning Program,” Dillman says. “I love to help students get jobs and help them to become successful.”
Erika Moreland, a 2008 PMHS graduate, is returning after leaving to pursue a license for Family and Consumer Sciences. From 2015 to 2018, she taught Physical Education.
“I am embracing the change from the amazingly awesome PE department and looking forward to teaching nutrition and basic cooking skills that they will use in their everyday life,” Moreland says.
As both a PMHS graduate and teacher, Moreland reflects on her return.
“PMHS always feels like home,” Moreland says.
