On New Year’s Eve, the Stranger Things franchise came to an end. In the final episode, the main character, Eleven, disappears. However, her disappearance gave people questions and theories about what happened to her. Individuals have a theory that Eleven is still alive.
“There is no way that Eleven died. We all saw her at the end of episode going to the waterfalls,” Eva Vance, a freshman, said.
Eleven was one of the most liked characters of the Stranger Things series, and some people truly think that she is dead.
“I do not want to believe it, but I have to accept the fact that she sadly is gone,” Ruby Thangi, a sophomore, said.
The ending was left with a mystery, and many did not want to settle for the series finale plot. Fans of the show made a new theory that had many people on the edge of their seats: the Conformity Gate. The Conformity Gate was an illusion that Venca had created to trick the minds of other characters in the series. This theory made fans think that there would be an episode drop on the night of Jan. 7th to finally give them the answers that they were looking for, but unfortunately to many fans the theory was false.
”I expected so much more things to happen, especially with how great the other seasons were, so when the theory did not happen I was kind of disappointed.” Par Tha Chin, a sophomore said.
Even with many fans being unsatisfied with the ending, sophomore Dawt Chin Sung thought that the ending was good and it should stay like that.
“I really enjoyed the ending and I did not think that they needed to add more to the plot, the story was told very well and that is all that matters,” Sung said.
There were many opinions about the ending of Stranger Things, but there is no argument that the show has brought joy to many people’s screens over the years.
