What is PMHS Agartha?
Recently on Instagram, a new account surrounding Perry Meridian High School has formed. The account “@pmhs.agartha” made its first post on Dec. 5, 2025, and has since gathered dozens of likes and followers on most of its posts. The account is “not affiliated with Perry Meridian High School;” however, many of its followers are from PMHS which has left students wondering what the origins of this account are and what it all means. To attempt to help students understand what parts of this account means, there is some context to be given.
There are many unknowns about this account. Who runs or owns it? What is the goal of the account? Why do they only follow two students, who both stated they are not the owners? What does it all mean? The mystery shrouding this puzzling account continues to confuse those uninformed.
What is known, however, is where the idea of “Agartha” actually comes from. Agartha originated in Louis Jacolliot’s Les Fils de Dieu. It, then, represented an ancient lost city that was destroyed in 5000 BC. The story has been written about a significant amount for the last century or so, but recently it has sparked internet fame ironically, with a new age of “Agarthan Society” spreading across TikTok and Instagram.
One Tiktoker, @lp.hatecraft, explained the new Agartha “lore” as “kind of an extension of Hollow Earth Theory,” where instead of Earth having a core like it is thought to be, there is instead a great city, Agartha. A different creator also said that it is “a theory about how Nazis escaped Germany during World War Two, that says that the survivors escaped the allied invasion and instead fled to the center of the Earth.” These theories about the story of Agartha have caused users on social media to create content that ironically supports the ideas of the society and its powerful influencers, known as Ashtar Sheran and Yakub.
Sheran, a blonde man who is the supposed leader of a space fleet protecting the Earth who has implied cosmic knowledge, is one of the central figures of the new content made on social media. He was also reflected on the PMHS Agartha page; however, he was named Antars Soren instead. The other central character, Yakub, stems from the Black Nationalist theory that an ancient man created the white race long ago and these people moved to found Agartha. This character is also shown on the PMHS Agartha page, along with two fellow created leaders, Prime Minister “Benjamin Hanyahu” and the pharaoh “El’ Iat” whose origins are unknown. Benjamin Hanyahu and the Pharaoh image both stem from an old textbook and have been reused by creators today. All of the “characters” within the Instagram page have been renamed to be like the names of PMHS students.
The large amount of content centered around the idea of Agartha has brought about a significant amount of curiosity, and with the ever-changing domain that is social media, it will continue to develop and garner more and more views and posts. It still remains unknown how the PMHS Agartha page came to be and its creators or intentions.
