Halls Paved with Gold

The final week leading up to homecoming has arrived. What arrives with it, besides anticipation, is all the festivities of the homecoming week team competitions. The most important of them all being hallway decorating.

Because this school year we’re celebrating “50 years of being falcon” each hallway will be decorated with a theme centered around gold, to represent this golden year.  But, these halls won’t decorate themselves. Without students willing to come out and get to work, halls will sit bland and barren.

So why should you take the time out of your day to help out? Vancer Mang, class of 2024’s StuVo Secretary weighed in on this.

“The amount of teamwork and bonding that happens within those hours is amazing to watch and be apart,” Mang explained. “As upperclassmen, it’s important to show our team spirit, and participating in Hallway Decorating is one way to do so.”

But, maybe you’re not an upperclassman looking to set a good example, or even a student looking to bond with others. Maybe you’re someone who doesn’t have the time to come and help set up. Is there anything you could do to help out still?

“You can always bring in money (any amount counts) anytime from now until hallway decorating,” Mang told us. There are also specific materials each class is asking students to bring in. Ask your class StuVo members or check your team’s Instagram page for a specific list of items to bring in for your hallway. Anything brought in should be given to Jessica Hunter in room 2-7K.

So, what are you waiting for? September 21, 3 P.M. to 9 P.M., come out and put in the effort! If you can’t make it, help out with materials. With everyone’s help, our hallways will be paved with gold!
